Pinzy - Pinterest Pin Zoom Extension for Chrome

I wouldn’t call myself an avid user of Pinterest, however I know someone who is — my lovely girlfriend, KayLee. She’s become mystically fascinated by the early-stage startup and I admittedly began to get a little jealous. So, I decided to try and accrue some brownie points by (hopefully) enhancing her browsing experience on the website. I did this by making Pinzy.

Pinterest is made up of a wall of pins people find interesting (pins, interesting…oh what a great name). The average size pin image is around 190 x 240 pixels, which limits visual detail for images that are inherently large. In order to view the enlarged version of the pin’s image, you must either click on the pin and risk losing your place on the colossal wall of pins, or right-click and open it in a new window. Now, I personally find neither option a viable solution for my hasty viewing pleasure. This is where Pinzy came into play.

Pinzy is a Chrome Extension that will allow you view the enlarged, full versions of the rich and lovely images simply by hovering over them.

Tip: Click the enlarged image to close it, which will allow you to take action on it (Repin, Comment, or Like).
